Midnight North Shares ‘The Eye’ Brandi Carlile Cover

One of the trademarks of Bay Area-based Americana group Midnight North are the band’s three-part vocal harmonies sung by Elliott Peck, Grahame Lesh and Alex Koford. Their harmonies are on display in a newly shared video featuring a cover of a song written by Brandi Carlile.

Recorded in black and white while the trio sat on a window sill in New York City in April 2017, Lesh’s acoustic guitar is the lone instrumentation on their arrangement of “The Eye.” Carlile included the song on her 2015 album The Firewatcher’s Daughter.
