Metallica Performs ‘Enter Sandman’ On ‘Colbert’

Metallica served as the musical guest on Sunday’s special post-Super Bowl episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Famers contributed a remote performance of “Enter Sandman.”

Robert Downey Jr. and Tiffany Haddish also appeared on last night’s Colbert. Metallica played “Enter Sandman” in front of speaker cabinets from tours and concerts spanning the band’s legendary career.

Metallica originally released “Enter Sandman” as the opening track and lead single from their self-titled 1991 studio album, a.k.a. The Black Album. The performance marked the band’s first of 2021.
