Megan Moroney recently stopped by the offices of NPR Music to record a Tiny Desk Concert. The country singer-songwriter treated the gathered audience to live takes of songs from her 2024 album, Am I Okay?, and more.
Moroney’s Tiny Desk serves as a preview to her upcoming Am I Okay? Tour bringing her across North America from March through August. Moroney played acoustic guitar while backed by guitarists Riley Lowery and John Barker, drummer Eric Pritchard, bassist Alex Shernit, pedal steel guitarist Justin Schipper and vocalist Amie Miriello.
“I’m Not Pretty” from Moroney’s 2023 debut album Lucky was the opening song played at NPR. The self-described “emo cowgirl” then performed the Am I Okay? track, “No Caller ID.” Moroney then went back to Lucky for “Tennessee Orange.” The live session ended with the Am I Okay? tile track.
