Medeski Martin Benevento & Russo Among Luna Light Additions

The third installment of the Luna Light Music & Arts Festival will be held at Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, Maryland October 13 – 16. Today, organizers of the transformative fall festival have followed last month’s Phase One lineup announcement by revealing Phase Two acts.

The big news is the first confirmed gig for a true supergroup quartet featuring keyboardists John Medeski and Marco Benevento as well as drummers Billy Martin and Joe Russo. We can’t wait to see what Medeski Martin Benevento & Russo have in store for what now stands as the foursome’s live debut. John Medeski and Billy Martin will also perform as MAGO at Luna Light ’16.

Other Luna Light ’16 additions include CIA featuring Clay Parnell (Particle/Brother’s Past), Ian McGuire (Sonic Spank) and Allen Aucoin (The Disco Biscuits) as well as Random Rab, Ott. (DJ Set), The Indobox, Wobblesauce, Mister F and many others. The acts announced today join previously revealed Luna Light ’16 performers Tipper, Electron, theNEWDEAL, Marco Benevento, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, Dopapod and many others. This year’s Artists-At-Large will be Benevento, Holly Bowling and The Hornitz. All told, the festival will feature nearly 60 performances, workshops, visual artists and lectures on six stages.
