Maxwell Performs ‘Off’ On ‘Colbert’

Maxwell performed his current single, “Off,” on Monday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The song appears on the singer-songwriter’s forthcoming new studio album, blacksummers’NIGHT.
Due this spring, blacksummers’NIGHT completes a trilogy of albums that began with 2009’s BLACKsummers’night and continued with 2016’s blackSUMMERS’night. An official date for the release of blacksummers’NIGHT, which will be Maxwell’s first on BMG, has not yet been confirmed.
“If you know, I’ve been a ride or die for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Maxell wrote on social media. “Thank you to the musicians and that incredible crew of people who made it so safe to bring some LOVE on [Valentine’s Day].”
