Maxwell Announces New Album ‘blacksummers’NIGHT’ & Shares Single

The singer-songwriter confirmed tour dates next year as well.

Maxwell will release a new album, blacksummers’NIGHT, next year featuring the lead single, “Off.” The singer-songwriter also confirmed 2022 tour dates in support of the closing chapter in his trio of full-length releases.

The forthcoming LP completes a trilogy of albums that started with BLACKsummers’night in 2009 and continued with blackSUMMERS’night in 2016. The Spring 2022 release of blacksummers’NIGHT marks Maxwell’s debut for BMG. Maxwell will soon be given the “Legend” Award at the 2021 Soul Train Awards.

“From announcing a new partnership with BMG for my label Musze to receiving the Legend Award at the upcoming 2021 Soul Train Awards,” Maxwell stated, “I couldn’t be more excited to share this new single with loved ones offering a glimpse into NIGHT.

Maxwell confirmed NIGHT 2022 Tour dates, beginning in Dallas in March 2022. The 25-show tour, organized in partnership with the Black Promoters Collective, will feature support from Anthony Hamilton and Joe. Tickets to Maxwell’s NIGHT 2022 Tour go on sale on November 29.
