One of YouTube’s best and brightest mashup creators is back at it again as Mylo the Cat aka Adam Schleichkorn has synced footage of the Muppets from Sesame Street with audio of the Beastie Boys’ Ill Communication hit “Sabotage.” It’s clear Schleichkorn put plenty of time into the mashup featuring appearances by Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar The Grouch, Super Grover, Bert & Ernie, Telly, Ms. Finch and more. The original video was directed by Spike Jonze is a parody of ’70s crime dramas starring the members of the Beasties.
“About three years ago, I spent a Sunday editing a video of the Muppets rapping ‘So What’Cha Want,’ which ended up being a total game-changer for me. The original ‘Sabotage’ music video is without a doubt, one of the greatest of all time, so I knew I couldn’t do a regular old lip sync video, I had to bring it! RIP MCA,” reads a note from Schleichkorn accompanying the video. Adam’s previous Muppet mashups include versions of “Regulate,” “So What’Cha Want” and “Tha Crossroads.”
