Mash-Up: Phish Slow ‘Llama’ & Sun City Llama Chase

On February 26 the big story of the day focused on two llamas that escaped and were on the loose in Sun City, Arizona before their handlers finally reeled them in. Live footage of the llama chase went viral and it seemed everyone was watching to see what would happen with the llamas on the loose. Jon Schroder took footage of the llama chase and paired it with audio of the slow and funky “Llama” Phish played on August 14 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Phish has only trotted out “Llama” once this year and the slow and funky version that opened at Walnut Creek was the 300th take on the A Picture Of Nectar rocker they’ve played. The unusual opener was unlike any of the 299 “Llama”s that came before it. Watch the mash-up Schroder put together:
