The Mars Volta Schedules 1st Tour Of 2026

Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala confirmed headline shows on both coasts and in their home state of Texas for September.

The Mars Volta announced their first headline tour dates of 2026. A seven-show series comes in September, along with a previously confirmed gig supporting My Chemical Romance and a festival appearance.

The September run starts on September 8 in Ventura (Calfornia) and continues to Tucson (Arizona) on September 9 and the band’s hometown of El Paso (Texas) on September 10. After supporting My Chemical Romance at San Antonio’s Alamodome on Sept. 12, The Mars Volta return to headlining with shows in Charlotte on September 15, Charleston (South Carolina) on September 16, Orlando on September 17 and Jacksonville on September 18. The tour concludes on September 20 with an appearance at Louisville's Louder Than Life festival.

The Mars Volta — Omar Rodríguez-López and Cedric Bixler-Zavala — released their latest studio album, Lucro Sucio; Los Ojos Del Vacio, in April of 2025. All has been quiet for the duo since finishing a North American tour last fall.

Tickets for the new headline dates go on sale Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
