Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford released the new single “Better Off High.” The song is featured on (self-titled), his debut solo album due out via Capitol Records on September 16.
Marcus tapped Blake Mills to produce the 10-track LP. Contributors include Brandi Carlile, Clairo, Julia Michaels, Phoebe Bridgers and Monica Martin. The album was recorded at the famed Sound City facility in Los Angeles after a turbulent time for Mumford that included Winston Marshall departing Mumford & Sons, a change in management and dealing with the effects of the pandemic.
