Marco Benevento Joined By Guests For David Bowie & Rolling Stones Covers In Brooklyn

On Saturday, keyboardist Marco Benevento celebrated the recent release of his new album The Story Of Fred Short in Brooklyn at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg. The evening came to a close with a pair of guests joining Marco and his trio for David Bowie and The Rolling Stones covers.

While Marco was performing in Brooklyn, his regular bassist Dave Dreiwitz was playing with Ween at Manhattan’s Terminal 5. Bassist Karina Rykman pinch-hit for Dreiwitz in Brooklyn as she did one night earlier in Kingston. When Benevento, Rykman and drummer Andrew Borger returned to the stage for the encore they were joined by opener Mikaela Davis and electric violinist Katie Jacoby for covers of Bowie’s “Heroes” and The Stones’ “Let’s Spend The Night Together.” Watch fan-shot footage of the encore captured by linusj:
