Marc Ford Performs ‘Deep Water’ & Talks Blues Rock Tones

Former The Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford recently discussed his gear and performed a song for Reverb. Ford also recently participated in a live Daytrotter session in Rock Island, Illinois.

Ford was revealed to be part of the new Rich Robinson-fronted project The Magpie Salute alongside fellow The Black Crowes member Sven Pipien on bass, as well as Rich Robinson Band drummer Joe Magistro and keyboardist Matt Slocum along with backing vocalists Adrien Reju and Katrine Ottosen. That group makes their live debut tomorrow night in New York City.

Ford spoke with Reverb about how he achieves his signature tone, his influences and more. The guitarist also performed “Deep Water” which appeared on his 2016 album The Vulture with his backing group The Neptune Blues Band. Watch him talk shop and perform with his band in the pair of videos below:
