The Main Squeeze Covers Red Hot Chili Peppers & Michael Jackson In Boca Raton

With Hurricane Matthew bearing down on Florida, a group of music fans in the Boca Raton area took the night off from preparations to catch Chicago-based band The Main Squeeze at The Funky Biscuit last night. The Main Squeeze’s performance included covers of hits from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Michael Jackson.
Yesterday the world learned of the passing of Rod Temperton, the British songwriter behind such Michael Jackson classics as “Rock With You” and “Thriller.” The Main Squeeze honored Rod by covering “Off The Wall,” another Michael Jackson hit written by Temperton. Vocalist Corey Frye and Co. also worked their take on the Chili Peppers’ “Give It Away” into the performance. Our friends at CHeeSeHeaDPRoDuCTioNS were on hand and have shared video of both covers:
