Singer-songwriter Maggie Rose shared a new single entitled “Same Way.” The song was co-written by Rose with Anderson East and Charlotte Sands.
“Same Way” follows Rose’s collaborative cover of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” with Vince Gill, which was released in January. Rose recently performed the Bonnie Raitt hit with Gill at the Grand Ole Opry.

Rose recorded “Same Way” with producers Davis Naish and Ben Tanner, who also provided the instrumentation, along with bassist Pete Randall and drummer Brandon Combs. Posting to social media, Rose – who is currently pregnant – shared insights into the new track:
“This has been the most dynamic year of my life and I have learned so much about growth itself. It’s beautiful, dramatic, disruptive, determined and essential. I’ve also learned that it doesn’t happen in a straight line and that I can’t expect everyone to join me on my same journey.
“This song examines the discomfort in feeling like we are pulling ahead from — or being left behind by — the ones we love as we evolve in our own lives.”
