American rock and soul artist Maggie Rose recently released “Help Myself,” the first single from a forthcoming studio album recorded at the historic FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. JamBase is pleased to premiere video featuring a stripped-down piano vocal version of the song.
Maggie tapped Ben Tanner of Alabama Shakes to produce her new LP. Tanner also played keys on the sessions, which also featured the legendary David Hood of Muscle Shoals’ famed The Swampers house band and guitarist Will McFarlane. “This is a candid song about knowing, or not knowing in the slightest, how to pick yourself up out of a bad situation, and given the crazy times we’re living in, I was compelled to share this song and its relatable message,” Maggie said of “Help Myself.”
