Watch Maggie Rogers’ Gorgeous ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ Cover

Maggie Rogers performed Bonnie Raitt‘s 1991 single “I Can’t Make You Love Me” during a recent The Spectrum Sessions in-studio set for SiriusXM’s The Spectrum channel. SiriusXM shared video of Rogers’ Raitt cover which can be viewed below.

The singer-songwriter is currently touring North America in support of her new album, Don't Forget Me, which came out on April 12. Maggie Rogers teamed with Leon Bridges on his stirring song, “River,” during her concert last Friday in Irving, Texas. Rogers debuted a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Cactus Tree” a few days earlier at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin co-wrote “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Bonnie Raitt released the song on her critically-acclaimed and top-selling 1991 album, Luck Of The Draw. Bruce Hornsby played piano and keyboards on Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me.”

Maggie Rogers was accompanied by her co-musical director and band member Bryn Bliska on the stirring version of “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Rogers loaded the rest of her The Spectrum Sessions set with songs from Don’t Forget Me. The full session can be streamed on-demand by SiriusXM subscribers.
