Watch Maggie Rogers & Leon Bridges’ Riveting ‘River’ Duet In Texas

Maggie Rogers brought her tour in support of her new album, Don’t Forget Me, to The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas for a concert on Friday night. Local singer-songwriter Leon Bridges made a surprise appearance, dueting with Rogers on his stirring song, “River.”
Rogers recruited another Texan to sit in during Friday’s main set. Saxophonist Jelani Brooks accompanied Rogers and her band on the Don’t Forget Me cut “On & On & On.” The guest sax player stayed onstage for “Say It” from Rogers’ 2019 debut album, Heard It In A Past Life.

Bridges’ arrival occurred during the encore, following a performance of the Don’t Forget Me title track. Rogers and Bridges offered a riveting rendition of “River,” the standout track from his 2015 debut album, Coming Home. The two were the only ones onstage, accompanied only by Bridges’ acoustic guitar.
