Jazz duo DOMi & JD BECK joined forces with Mac DeMarco as the musical guests on Wednesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. DeMarco, keyboardist DOMi Louna and drummer JD Beck performed their “Two Shrimps” collaboration amid a trippy stage design at 30 Rock featuring cherry blossoms and assorted fauna.
“Two Shrimps” is one of 15 tracks on Not Tight, DOMi & JD Beck’s debut studio album. The LP arrived in July on Anderson .Paak’s APESHIT label in partnership with Blue Note Records. .Paak, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Busta Rhymes, Thundercat, Herbie Hancock and Snoop Dogg also guest on Not Tight.

DOMi & JD Beck were recently nominated for Best New Artist and Best Contemporary Instrumental Album Grammy Awards. DeMarco’s last releases — Here Comes The Cowboy Demos and Other Here Comes The Cowboy Demos — came out in 2020. The demo tapes followed his 2019 full-length studio album, Here Comes The Cowboy.
