Lukas Nelson Performs Acoustic ‘Consider It Heaven’ In Hotel Room

Lukas Nelson previewed an early version of “Consider It Heaven,” premiering a simple version of the cut off Turn Off The News (Build A Garden) via a recording from his hotel room. While the song is now associated with Nelson’s band , the new clip shows the stripped-down rendition that inspired the song on the group’s recent 2019 release.
In the minimalist performance, Nelson croons softly while offering gentle acoustic guitar accompaniments. In a statement, the guitarist and singer offered,
I wrote this song a long time ago .. took a while to come to fruition in the recording studio, but once we sat down to do it, it played itself .. on the record, I’m especially impressed with the restraint of Promise of the Real , how well everyone complements each other.. special shout out to our old friend Jessie Seibenburg for the beautiful steel guitar on the studio version – this is how I wrote it originally, and brought it to the band.
