Lucius shared a live performance video of their new single “Stranger Danger” from the Inness Resort in Accord, New York. The track is the group led by Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig’s first new music since releasing their April 2022 album, Second Nature.

Lucius released “Stranger Danger” on November 15 as the band’s first single on new label Fantasy Records. Wolfe and Laessig co-wrote the song with Lucius drummer Dan Molad, who also produced the track — his first Lucius production since the band’s 2013 debut album, Wildewoman. Lucius is set to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Wildewoman with a tour next year.

The studio cut features Wolfe (vocals, keyboards), Laessig (vocals, keyboards), Molad (drums, percussion, programming), Lucius’ Peter Lalish (electric guitar), Solomon Dorsey (bass), Dawes’ Taylor Goldsmith (electric guitar and piano) and Josh Mease (bass, guitar).

On “Stranger Danger” Lucius said: “Humans have imagined a backup plan – a ‘savior’ to forgive us, to save us, to lean on…for ourselves, if and when things go wrong but who/what/where is the backup plan for Mother Earth?”
