Lucius Details ‘Wildewoman’ Anniversary Tour Dates

Lucius will commemorate the 10th anniversary of their debut full-length album, 2013’s Wildewoman, early next year. Wildewoman: The Anniversary Tour dates include shows in the Midwest and Northeast from January 25 – February 3 featuring special guest Jeff Taylor.

The band co-founded by Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig will perform all 11 songs on Wildewoman at each stop along with “some special additions,” according to a post from Lucius announcing the tour. “We may even bring back some of those old lewks tucked away in the attic,” Wolfe and Laessig added.

“Wildewoman was our first born, and in a lot of ways, the one that feels closest to the chest,” wrote Lucius. “It was the first time we really toured, had fans(!!!) singing along to our songs, traveled the world doing what we loved, and proved that with hard work & dedication, we could make a living as artists.”

“Lately, we’ve been wanting to get back to that feeling, back to the heart of it all; we are writing new music and it’s feeling really good… but in doing that, we wanted to take a pause to honor & revisit that special time with all of you,” the statement continued. “For now, we are announcing a few dates in select cities – but this debut connected us with so many of you from all over the world and we can’t thank it, or you, enough.”

Lucius launches the celebratory trek at Minneapolis’ First Avenue on January 25 and returns to the venue on January 26 to play The Current’s 19th Anniversary Party. Stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Burlington (Vermont), Portland (Maine) and Boston follow. Wolfe, Laessig and their bandmates are currently slated to close out Wildewoman: The Anniversary Tour at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on February 3.
