LP Giobbi Releases Uplifting ‘Love Come Through’ Single Featuring Panama

LP Giobbi (Leah Chisholm) released a new single, “Love Come Through,” featuring singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Panama. The track is set for LP Giobbi’s upcoming album, Dotr, arriving on October 18 via Ninja Tune/Counter Records.

LP Giobbi announced her guest-filled new album, Dotr — named after the way she signed notes to her parents as a child — in June. The record sees Chisholm processing the grief and celebrating the lives of three influential matriarchal figures: “Patricia Lynn, her mother-in-law, Carolyn Horn, her piano teacher since second grade, and Suse Millemann, a longtime friend of her parents and the only professional artist she knew as a child,” as per a press release.

Giobbi has released a string of collaborative previews of the album including “Feel” (w/Jacob Banks), “Bittersweet” (w/Portugal. The Man) and “So Nice To Be In Love” (w/Mascolo).

Most recently, the DJ/producer released “Until There’s Nothing Left” featuring vocals from Brittany Howard. LP Giobbi now follows with “Love Come Through” in collaboration with Panama.

“When I started writing ‘Love Come Through,’ I wasn’t sure what I was trying to say at the time, but I felt like a big change was happening in my life,” Panama stated. “Looking back, I think that what I was trying to say was, although we change, there is always a constant in our lives and that is love.”

“I have been a fan of the way Panama’s songs emote real beauty and emotion through top-notch chord progressions so I was thrilled to work with him on ‘Love Come Through,’” Chisholm said. “The icing on the cake was getting to work with Natalie Grata who did the live string arrangement making that final musical moment so euphoric.”
