Out today from Lotus is the new live release Live At Altitude. The 90-minute collection documents the livetronica quartet’s June 7, 2024 set at the scenic Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, Colorado.

Lotus played eight songs in Vail as part of the Mountains of Music festival. The setlist features a mix of classic originals (“Umbilical Moonrise,” “Nematode”) and newer jam vehicles (“Catacombs,” “Eats The Light”).

Lotus — Jesse Miller (bass, modular synth), Luke Miller (keyboards, guitar), Mike Greenfield (drums) and Tim Palmieri (guitar) — has had a busy 2024 as they put out a new studio album and toured hard in support of the LP. How To Dream In Color arrived on July 11, 2024.

“While we release all our live recordings on Nugs.net we wanted to put out a live show on all streaming platforms to give everyone access to a picture of current live Lotus,” explained Jesse Miller in a statement announcing Live At Altitude. “This show seemed like a great fit at 90 minutes. Across the 8 songs the set is an overview of 20 years of Lotus music while showcasing the group improvisation, melodic-rock and synthesizer driven dance music the band is known for. We intend to do more releases of live Lotus music in addition to the releases we regularly make available on nugs, Bandcamp and YouTube.”
