As previously reported, Lotus held two benefit concerts at Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium to celebrate the lives of the band’s percussionist Chuck Morris and his son Charley Morris who recently died in a tragic kayaking accident. The Fillmore concerts were loaded with special guests joining Lotus, including Dave Watts of The Motet and Anthony Fugate who was a member of Nunchuck with Chuck Morris.
The emotional series of shows were fundraisers for the Morris Family. Donations can Ene be made directly to a GoFundMe campaign established to support the family.
Chuck Morris and Charley Morris were reported missing after failing to return from a kayaking trip on Beaver Lake near Fayetteville, Arkansas on Thursday, March 16. After an extensive recovery effort, officials announced the bodies were recovered on Sunday, April 9.
