Lotus Releases New EP ‘Citrus’

Today, Lotus unveils Citrus, a new EP. The seven-song collection was recorded during the same sessions that yielded the jamtronica act’s 2020 full-length studio album, Free Swim.
The Free Swim and Citrus sessions took place at Philadelphia’s Spice House Sound. Lotus previewed the new EP throughout the month of March by releasing a new track each Tuesday.
“Citrus is the chill-out session to the Free Swim pool party,” explained Lotus bassist/producer Jesse Miller. “The music is more downtempo, drawing from 70s space-funk, rock and West African music. We’ve never played these songs live before, but I think they will feel like old favorites.”
“I think this is a great way to put [out this material] and I think there’s a lot of great songs on [Citrus] that I think people will dig,” added Luke Miller in an appearance on The JamBase Podcast. Stream Lotus’ Citrus EP below:
