Lotus & Jon ‘Barber’ Gutwillig Team With Guests At Disc Jam

Lotus played a special set with The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig replacing Mike Rempel and other guests at this year’s Disc Jam Music Festival. The “Lotus With Barber & Friends” performance took place on Saturday night at Gardner’s Farm in Stephentown, New York.

Jon “The Barber” Gutwillig was on hand for the entire 10-song set minus one tune in which he was replaced by Tim Palmieri of Kung Fu. Lotus kicked off their performance with Kung Fu’s Adrian Tramontano on percussion for “Wax.” The next guest spot took place during “Middle Road” featuring Kung Fu’s Rob Somerville on sax. From there, Lotus and Barber treated attendees to a run of “Fortune Favors” from 2018’s Frames Per Second and classics “Intro To A Cell” and “Destroyer.”

Palmieri swapped in for Barber on Frames Per Second track “Cold Facts.” Gutwillig returned to the stage for the beloved “128” and the set-closing sequence of “It’s All Clear To Me Now” into “Juggernaut.” Watch fan-shot video of Lotus performing “Middle Road” with Jon Gutwillig and Rob Somerville thanks to Strawberry Island Dweller below:
