Sesame Street shared a clip of Lizzo appearing with beloved Muppets Elmo and Cookie Monster. In the video, Elmo gifts the flutist a cookie flute … then Cookie Monster shows up.
As Consequence pointed out, Lizzo and Cookie Monster have interacted before. In 2019, Cookie remixed Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts” and tweeted to the pop star, “Me just took a DNA test turns out me 100% cookies.”
In the new Sesame Street clip, Elmo gave Lizzo “Sesame Street’s famous cookie flute.” Lizzo recently played another famous flute, James Madison’s crystal flute. On Sesame Street, Lizzo added the confectionary woodwind to her resume. But then Cookie Monster rolled through. He naturally crunched on the instrument and did a little playing of his own.
