Leftover Salmon Release ‘Boogie Grass Band’ Single

Leftover Salmon continues to preview their upcoming Brand New Good Old Days album with the release of “Boogie Grass Band,” a Conway Twitty cover featured on the LP. Brand New Good Old Days is due out through Compass Records on May 7.
The follow-up to 2018’s Something Higher features 10 tracks that display Leftover Salmon’s roots and musical progression. LoS previously unveiled both the title track and a cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” from Brand New Good Old Days.

“This old Conway Twitty song was recommended for the band by our friend Ronnie McCoury years ago,” Leftover Salmon co-founding member Vince Herman told The Bluegrass Situation, the outlet that premiered the track. “It speaks to where we sit on the musical spectrum. We love country, bluegrass and rock music and like to do them all at the same time! This song acknowledges that while taking it taking it in a uniquely Salmon direction.”
