As reported, jamgrass pioneers Leftover Salmon will issue their new studio album, Something Higher, on May 4 via LoS Records. LoS worked with longtime collaborator Steve Berlin of Los Lobos to produce the album, which is available for pre-order here. Today, Salmon announced a run of shows that will start on release day.

Leftover Salmon kicks off the tour with an intimate album release party at eTown Hall in Boulder on May 4 ahead of a pairing with Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band at Red Rocks in Morrison on May 5. Then, the band heads to the East Coast for shows in Baltimore, Newport News, Aiken, Huntersville and Charleston. A Midwest leg includes concerts in Cleveland, Kalamazoo, Des Moines, Kansas City, Lincoln and Geneva.

The sextet is confirmed for this year’s Summer Camp Music Festival and will play the Chillicothe, Illinois event on may 26. In June, LoS starts the month with an appearance at the Cathead Music Festival in Jackson, Mississippi on June 2. Then, it’s off to the Idaho for a show at The Hive on June 7 and a pair of concerts in the Montana cities of Whitefish and Haugan. Leftover Salmon is also scheduled to appear at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, the Peach Music Festival and the Northwest String Summit as well as Floydfest.
