Siblings Gracie and Clyde Lawrence brought an expanded version of Lawrence to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday. The band was augmented by The Roots drummer Questlove for a memorable performance of “Whatcha Want.”
The high-energy “Watcha Want” appears on the band’s recently released album, Family Business. All eyes were on Gracie and Clyde as they started the song seated in front of computers before the camera pulled back to reveal the full ensemble and Questlove on a set simulating Lawrence’s home office complete with their logos.

Lawrence showed off their soulful and funky music as well as Gracie and Clyde’s powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence on their first-ever Fallon performance. At one point, a phone rang and Gracie took the call to scream, “The family business isn’t open right now, we’re playing The Tonight Show!”
Host Jimmy Fallon was effusive in his praise of the band. “That is how you do it … standing ovation!” said a wowed Fallon of his musical guests on Monday.
