Lake Street Dive assembled at a studio on February 25 to record a set for NPR program World Cafe. Video of Lake Street Dive’s three-song performance has premiered on the World Cafe YouTube channel.
The band focused on material from Obviously, an 11-track studio album released earlier this month. Lake Street Dive began their performance with “Hypotheticals,” a song that includes a lyric which gave the LP its title.

The quintet followed “Hypotheticals” with “Making Do.” Lake Street Dive ended the Raina Douris-hosted set by performing “Being A Woman.” Bassist Bridget Kearney penned the song which was released as a single just ahead of International Women’s Day.
