Funk-fusion quintet Kung Fu expanded their current tour into the spring. The band will now be on the road through the middle of April with more dates to follow.
Kung Fu’s spring tour begins at 5 Points Music Sanctuary in Roanoke, Virginia on February 28. From there, the five-piece starts March with gigs in Baltimore and Washington D.C. Next up is a Northeast run that includes stops in Burlington and Mount Snow, Vermont and March 29 and 30 respectively. Then, KF plays Providence on April 5 before teaming up with Deep Banana Blackout at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on April 6. Each band will play a set before joining forces for a third set finale of classic funk, dance and rock mashups called “Mashup Smashup.”
The five-piece continues the tour with two nights in Denver and a visit to Boulder. The Colorado portion of the tour is followed by a series of Midwest dates that includes stops in Iowa City, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago and Lexington, Kentucky. Kung Fu also confirmed a performance at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, New Jersey on May 10.
