Kitchen Dwellers posted official video of their recent cover of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s song “The River.” The footage was recorded on November 14 at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver.
“The River” is among King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s most-played original songs, having logged over 200 live performances since its 2015 debut. Kitchen Dwellers covered “The River” during their recent Halloween show in New Jersey.

In Denver, Kitchen Dwellers dropped their acoustic string-led arrangement of “The River” within a performance of their original song, “Muir Maid.” The full sequence began with “Muir Maid” segueing into “Here We Go,” then a return to “Muir Maid” before covering “The River” and completing “Muir Maid.”
The concert at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom was part of a three-show run Kitchen Dwellers played in Denver with Daniel Donato sharing the bill. Watch the pro-shot video of Kitchen Dwellers covering “The River” by King Gizz and stream soundboard audio via nugs.net below:
