Watch King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard Lay ‘Astroturf’ In The Studio

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard released a new video for their song “Astroturf.” The track appears on the Australian rockers’ 2022 album, Changes.

Changes was the last of five studio albums of new material the prolific band released in 2022, arriving on October 28 as the third of three records released in October alone. The genius of Changes is that it revolves around a single chord progression. The seven-track LP is “built around this one chord progression – every track is like a variation on a theme,” frontman Stu Mackenzie said.

On the new video for Changes’ “Astroturf,” captured mostly in KGLW’s Australian studio, the band added: “We filmed this live then overdubbed the fuck over it. Recording is fun.”
