Keb’ Mo’ released a new single, “Good To Be (Home Again).” The track will appear on the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and guitarist’s upcoming album, Good To Be, set for release via Rounder Records on January 21.

Keb’ Mo’, the stage name of Kevin Moore, announced Good To Be in October and shared the single, “Good Strong Woman,” featuring Darius Rucker. The album’s title track, “Good To Be (Home Again),” is one of three songs on the new LP Moore co-produced with country star Vince Gill. “‘Good To Be (Home Again)’ feels like the title track to my life,” Keb said in a press release.

As the pandemic sidelined Moore’s tour plans, the singer-songwriter purchased his late mother’s home in Compton, California where he grew up, splitting his time between his hometown and his adopted hometown of Nashville. Good To Be and its title track sees Keb’ Mo’ reflecting on the experience of returning home.

“You can’t bring an attitude to Compton,” Moore said. “You can’t pose. You can’t be anything but real when you’re walking down the same streets you used to ride your bike on as a kid. In a lot of ways, coming back there felt like it completed me.”
