Doom Flamingo and Big Something hit Brooklyn Bowl on Friday. A collaboration between the former’s vocalist Kanika Moore and the latter on The Allman Brothers Band classic “Whipping Post” put an exclamation point on Big Something’s opening set.

Big Something kicked off their frame with the favorite “Megalodon.” Following “Tumbleweed,” the North Carolina-based band welcomed TK Kenney and Ross Bogan of South Carolina’s Doom Flamingo on guitar and keyboards respectively for a cover of Mac Miller’s “What’s The Use?”

DF’s Kanika Moore emerged for the penultimate song of Big Something’s set, “Waves.” The powerhouse vocalist stayed on to help the band close their set with “Whipping Post.” The cover featured typically fierce singing from Kanika as well as some raucous jamming from the band.
