Kamasi Washington shared a new single entitled “The Garden Path.” The acclaimed jazz musician will perform the song tonight when he makes his late night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“The world feels turned upside down,” said Washington of his first new, original music in nearly a year. “There’s so much push and pull in every direction, from everyone you meet—no one knows what to think, who to believe, or how to approach life right now. No matter how smart you are, it’s hard not to feel blind.”

Last June Kamasi Washington issued “Sun Kissed Child,” a track composed for The Undefeated’s Music for the Movement. Washington went on to cover Metallica's “My Friend Of Misery” for The Metallica Blacklist compilation.
