Kamasi Washington Joins Florence + The Machine In Brooklyn

Kamasi Washington sat-in with Florence + The Machine during their show Tuesday night at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The saxophonist had opened the concert and he accompanied the headliners on a pair of songs during the evening’s encore.
Vocalist Florence Welch and her band mates played a career-spanning set that focused heavily on their recently issued studio album High As Hope. The main set closed with “Cosmic Love” from Lungs and “Delilah” and “What Kind Of Man” from How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. Washington and his band mates, trombonist Ryan Porter and trumpeter Igmar Thomas, joined Florence + The Machine as they opened the encore with the High As Hope track “Big God” and ended the collaboration with the Cerimonias favorite “Shake It Out.” Watch “Big God” via Gregory Marcus below:
