Jorma Kaukonen Announces Tour & New Album

Legendary guitarist/vocalist Jorma Kaukonen will release his latest solo album, Ain’t In No Hurry, on February 17 via Red House Records. Kaukonen, of Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna fame, will support the LP with a month-long tour early next year.

Ain’t In No Hurry is a collection of classic American songs, blues, rockers and Jorma originals including a lost Woody Guthrie lyric set to music by Jorma and Larry Campbell. There are special guests a plenty on the LP including Jorma’s longtime collaborator Jack Casady as well as Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams, Barry Mitterhoff, Myron Hart and Justin Guip.

Jorma heads out for a series of dates with a performance at Santa Monica’s McCabe’s on February 14. For the first week of the tour, Kaukonen will perform in trio format with Campbell and Williams. Then, from February 25 -28, Jorma will play solo. Finally, a run of shows from March 5 -15 will see Jorma joined by Mitterhoff.
