Widespread Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann and New Orleans Mardi Gras Indian Big Chief Juan Pardo will soon team up for a run of shows bringing NOLA funk and Mardi Gras Indian culture to the Southeast in December. The four-show run includes concerts in Virginia and North Carolina.
New Orleans-based musicians Kirk Joseph, Jake Eckert and Eddie Christmas will perform alongside JoJo Hermann and Big Chief Juan Pardo.
Bringing the much-needed joy of live music to North Carolina following the recent severe destruction in the region caused by Hurricane Helene, the tour begins on December 12 at The Black Box Theater in Charlotte. JoJo Hermann and Big Chief Juan Pardo will then perform at Enter the Earth’s 22nd annual Christmas Party held on December 13 at Asheville Music Hall in Asheville.
“I am so honored to be playing again this year with Juan Pardo and the gang to bring the funk to the southeast, especially Asheville,” Hermann told JamBase. “Nothing is more joyous than bringing the music of Professor Longhair and the Mardi Gras Indians to all the good people there. Laissez les bon temps roulez!”
Moving on to Virginia, the pair performs at 5 Points Music Sanctuary in Roanoke on December 14. The Broadberry in Richmond will host the last show of the run on December 15.
Tickets to see JoJo Hermann and Big Chief Juan Pardo are on sale now.
