Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy performed a set for KEXP at Rainshadow Recording at Fort Worden during the THING festival. The Seattle public radio station shared pro-shot video of Tweedy’s session.
The set was recorded on August 25, which was Jeff Tweedy’s 52nd birthday. Jeff started the session with performances of “An Empty Corner” and “White Wooden Cross.” Both songs appear on Wilco’s recent studio album, Ode To Joy. Tweedy then spoke with host Morgan Chosnyk about Ode To Joy, his memoir and more. Next, Jeff presented a take on “Family Ghost” from his solo album, Warmer. Finally, Tweedy concluded the set with the Wilco classic “Impossible Germany.”
