Boston jam quartet The Jauntee will soon return to the road for a Winter Tour that begins on Valentine’s Day evening, February 14, at Amercian Beauty in New York City. In advance of the tour, we’ve dedicated today’s Full Show Friday to a standout set they played in their hometown towards the end of 2016.
On November 25, 2016 The Jauntee opened for Twiddle at Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The foursome worked through a mix of material that included originals “Dirty George,” “Dirty Job,” “Mammoth Relaxes,” “Black Bart,” “When The Love Is” and “I Wanna Love You (Just For One Night)” with The Meters’ classic “Hey Pocky A-Way.” An audio recording is available via Bandcamp and the band has shared video paired with the soundboard recording for our viewing pleasure.
The Jauntee features Tyler Adams on keys and vocals, John Loland on bass, Scott Ferber on drums and vocals as well as Caton Sollenberger on guitar and vocals. “Boston was an especially fun night for all of us. Not only was it a homecoming show, at a classic Boston venue, but we’d also been looking forward to teaming up with Twiddle for quite some time. The crowd was enthusiastic, involved, and projected just the energy we love to perform to. We played a number of new tunes that we’ve been especially psyched on recently, and the hometown fanbase seemed to welcome them with open arms, which is always such a rewarding feeling. We live for that!” Ferber tells JamBase about the show.
