New West Records will reissue Jason Isbell‘s debut solo album Sirens Of The Ditch this Friday, July 13. The expanded edition features four previously unreleased songs, including the newly shared “Racetrack Romeo.”

After ending his stint as a member of Drive-By Truckers, Isbell first released Sirens Of The Ditch in 2007. Initially made up of 11 original songs, the record was recorded near Isbell’s hometown at the renowned FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Isbell and his former DBT band mate Patterson Hood co-produced Sirens In The Ditch with support from DBT drummer Brad Morgan and former Drive-By Truckers bassist Shonna Tucker.

Patterson Hood appears on one track playing guitar and his father, renowned session musician David Hood, as well as Spooner Oldham, John Neff and David Barbe also contributed to the album. Included on the expanded reissue are the previously unheard tracks “Crystal Clear,” “Whisper” and “The Assassin” as well as “Racetrack Romeo,” which premiered via Garden & Gun.
