Alabama native Jason Isbell was recently in Mobile for a performance with his band The 400 Unit at the Saenger Theater. While in town on October 21, Isbell and some of his mates stopped by the local establishment Veet’s Bar and performed a cover of a The Allman Brothers Band classic.

With Isbell on guitar alongside 400 Unit guitarist Sadler Vaden and drummer Chad Gamble, as well as bassist Joe Anderson of Veet’s house band The Family Jewels, the musicians tackled The Allmans’ favorite “Midnight Rider.” Just last month during a stop in Atlanta, Isbell was given the opportunity to play late ABB guitarist Duane Allman’s guitar at his show at The Fox Theater.
