Jake Xerxes Fussell continues to preview his upcoming studio album Good and Green Again with new single “Rolling Mills Are Burning Down.” The nine-track LP is set for release via Paradise of Bachelors on January 21.

Fussell tapped James Elkington to produce and contribute to Good and Green Again. The follow-up to the folk musician’s 2019 album Out Of Sight was recorded and mixed by engineer James Richmond at Overdub Lane in Fussell’s hometown of Durham, North Carolina.

The introspective “Rolling Mills Are Burning Down” features Elkington on piano. James Elkington also contributed organ, dobro, mandola, vibraphone and guitars to the LP. Additionally, Good and Green Again includes Jake’s regular bandmembers Casey Toll on upright bass, Libby Rodenbough on strings and Nathan Golub on pedal steel as well as fiddler Joseph Decosimo, drummer Joe Westerlund and Anna Jacobson on brass. Fussell recruited Bonnie “Prince” Billy to provide additional vocals.
