In mid-January, The Infamous Stringdusters began the first leg of their 2019 Winter Tour at Hollywood’s The Troubadour. The schedule took the bluegrass outfit along the West Coast and featured a two-night stop at Portland, Oregon’s Wonder Ballroom.

The Dusters arrived the first night of their Portland run in proper form, celebrating the Pacific Northwest’s penchant for rain with a water-themed first set featuring tunes like “Rain,” Merle Haggard’s “I Think I’ll Just Stay Here And Drink” and Danny Barnes’ “Water Wagon.” In the middle of the set, the group offered a triumphant tribute to The Allman Brothers Band, performing an over seven-minute rendition of “Jessica.” The 1973 Grammy Award-winning instrumental appeared on The Infamous Stringdusters 2017’s Undercover Vol. 2, the second EP in a compilation series featuring classic and unexpected covers from the Nashville-born bluegrass ensemble.

YouTube user Mark’s Memories shot and uploaded a pro-shot video of The Infamous Stringdusters’ performance of “Jessica” on January 24, with camera and editing support from Mark Burgin. Watch the cover of The Allman Brothers’ favorite below:
