Huey Lewis & The News Honors Frontline Responders With ‘I Am There For You’ Video

Huey Lewis and the News crowd-sourced footage of those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic for the “I Am There For You” video. The song appears on the band’s Weather LP, which was released in February.

Clicps featuring medical workers, firefighters, safety officials, retail workers and more of those helping get the world through the pandemic are displayed holding placards with the lyrics to the song. Then, the video concludes with a look at Huey Lewis & The News, who share their thanks to frontline workers. “We are lucky and proud to have such wonderful fans, many of whom are front line workers themselves, to highlight the courage, compassion, and sacrifices we are so grateful for,” Lewis said in a statement.
