Last month, pianist Holly Bowling teamed up with Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh as well as Ross James and Eric DiBerardino for a special Happy Hour performance at Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads venue in San Rafael, California. Holly has shared another video of one of the highlights of the set from November 4.
Bowling began interpreting the music of the Grateful Dead following her reimagined “Eyes Of The World” performance for the JamBase Songs Of Their Own video series. She just issued Better Left Unsung, a new album of Grateful Dead interpretations, on December 9. Holly previously shared footage of the Backyard Stage rendition of “Eyes” and now has posted video of the ensemble’s take on the Dead favorite “Deal” with the pianist on lead vocals.
