The Highwomen – Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby made their television debut on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The talented supergroup performed the first two singles from their forthcoming self-titled debut studio album, which comes out on September 6 via Low Country Sound/Elektra Records.
For the broadcast, The Highwomen performed the 12-track LP’s lead single, “Redesigning Women.” The supergroup also recorded a take on their most recent single, “Crowded Table” as a web exclusive. Carlile, Shires, Morris and Hemby were backed by an ensemble that included keyboardist Peter Levin, guitarist (and Amanda’s husband) Jason Isbell as well as Brandi’s band mates bassist Phil Hanseroth, guitarist Tim Hanseroth and drummer Chris Powell.
