‘Helping Friendly Podcast’ Taps Tom Marshall & Jon Gutwillig For Pre-Phish Events In Atlantic City
The free daytime events will take place at Anchor Rock Club.
Osiris Media’s the Helping Friendly Podcast (HFPod) will host a pair of free, interactive daytime events at Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City during Phish‘s three-night run in Atlantic City next weekend (Friday, August 5 – Sunday, August 7). One event will feature The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon Gutwillig while the other will feature Phish lyricist Tom Marshall.
Gutwillig will discuss his songwriting and creative process after a quick recap of Friday’s Phish show on Saturday, August 6 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Anchor Rock Club. The guitarist will then present a solo acoustic performance.
Next, on Sunday, August 7 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Anchor Rock Club, Tom Marshall will host a recap of the previous night’s Phish show and a talk with “some very special guests.” Additionally, Whotnot will host a live virtual auction with proceeds going to The WaterWheel Foundation. Items up for bid to benefit Phish’s philanthropic arm will include rare vinyl records and posters, signed memorabilia, WaterWheel Foundation items and more.
“We’re excited to bring fans together around the Phish shows at Atlantic City – offering engaging conversation, music, and an auction for a great cause,” said Tom Marshall, Chief Creative Officer, Osiris Media, a partner of JamBase. “The WaterWheel Foundation has long been a positive force on the Phish community and beyond, and we’re thrilled to work with Whatnot to benefit WaterWheel.”
Anchor Rock Club will also host late-nights in which Chicago’s Orchard Lounge will perform “b2b” with ICHISAN. Head to the venue’s website to purchase tickets for “(The Moma) Dance Parties.”
